Our Commitment
Rooots is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to make our website usable by the widest possible audience.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. Rooots.net aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Aims to conform" means we follow the guidelines but have not completed a formal third-party audit.
Measures We Take
- Semantic HTML landmarks (
main, nav, header, footer) for assistive technology. - A logical heading hierarchy on every page.
- Visible keyboard focus indicators on interactive elements.
- Color contrast meeting WCAG AA for body text and meaningful UI.
- Descriptive alt text for informative images and empty alt text for decorative ones.
aria-labelon links that open in new tabs and on icon-only controls.- Respect for
prefers-reduced-motionto limit animation for sensitive users. - Forms and links that work with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some content on Rooots.net may not yet be fully accessible. In particular, third-party destinations we link to — such as our scheduling tool at calendar.app.google and the customer app at app.rooots.net — are outside our direct control and may not match the same conformance level.
